BISP Started the Plantation Campaign On Independence Day. Trees now play an important role in improving air quality. They release carbon dioxide and produce oxygen, which helps all living things breathe. The main objective of the plantation campaign is to prevent air pollution. With this aim, BISP chairperson Rubina Khalid has started the plantation campaign. She has appealed to the beneficiaries along with the staff members of BISP, to support us in this campaign.
Air pollution can be reduced by planting more trees and plants. She said that we would make Pakistan beautiful and green on Independence Day. The government of Pakistan, from time to time, starts campaigns for deforestation and plantation. Many government agencies, organizations, and local communities have been established to support plantations. Individuals who meet the eligibility criteria can receive benefits from the BISP program.

National Plantation Day is celebrated on August 18 in Pakistan. On this day, lakhs of saplings are planted all over the country. To ensure environmental protection, the government of Pakistan has encouraged to planting of trees in schools and government institutions as well. Benazir Income Support Program has set a target of planting more than five million trees across the country by participating .
